Leave it to the masterminds at Oliva to make sure
their cigar made a splash when it was brought in to local cigar shops.
It has an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, with some extra Jalapa Valley
ligero in the filler.
The combination of tobaccos compared to the regular Serie V makes for a
stronger and more flavorful cigar. The Melanio starts with a kick of
spice that stays constant through the cigar, occasionally in unison with
notes of wood and nuts that are dispersed evenly through the cigar. The
Melanio goes from medium bodied up to full bodied half way through,
despite being stronger it has the smoothness that everyone knows and
loves from the original Serie V.
Be sure to pick this one up here as it has quickly become a fan favorite since it's release.
